Set up email forwarding

Get a CostCrunch address and forward supplier emails to it.

Updated October 29, 2026

Every company gets one forwarding address. Anything with a PDF attached that's sent to it is processed automatically, so you can forward invoices from your phone or have suppliers send to it directly.

Create your address

  1. Go to Settings → Email.
  2. Under Forwarding address, click Create address.
  3. Copy the address. It looks like [email protected].

Anyone on your team can forward to it. You only need one address per company.

Ways to use it

  • Forward supplier emails to it as they come in.
  • Ask your suppliers to add it to their billing contacts, so invoices come straight to CostCrunch.
  • Set up an auto-forward rule in your email so anything from your suppliers' billing addresses is forwarded automatically. If your inbox is Gmail or Google Workspace, connecting Gmail is usually easier.

What gets processed

CostCrunch reads the PDF attachments on each email. It keeps the invoices, quotes, statements, and credits, and deletes other PDFs (marketing, newsletters, and so on). The email body itself isn't processed.

To ignore certain senders, see Sender filters.
