Export settings
Control what goes into each bill and when invoices export.
Updated October 29, 2026
All of these are in Settings → Accounting.
Export behavior
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Export on approval | Export as soon as an invoice is approved |
| Export new invoices | Export as soon as an invoice is processed, if its vendor and customer are matched |
| Export line items | Send each line instead of one total |
| Item types as descriptions | Use CostCrunch's clean item type as the line description |
| Export SKU | Include the supplier's SKU on each line |
| Attach the invoice PDF | Attach the original document to the bill |
Bill memo
Choose what goes in the bill's memo, and in what order: Invoice number, Supplier name, Categories, Item types, Shipping address, and a Link to CostCrunch.
Payment terms
Turn on Export payment terms and choose where they come from: a Custom default, the Invoice itself, or your Accounting software.
Export emails
Get an email for every export, or a Daily, Weekly, or Monthly digest. You can attach the invoice PDFs and add up to 10 more people under Also send to, which is handy for your bookkeeper.
