What the icons, percentages, and overspend amounts mean.

Updated October 29, 2026

On each line

The Insights column shows an icon and a percentage:

  • Green check: good price.
  • Red or orange alert: you paid more than the benchmark. Red is a bigger gap.
  • "+14.5%": how far above (or below) the benchmark you paid.

Hover the icon for the full story, for example:

Overpaying: 14.5% over your usual price · $4.12 vs $3.60 · $52.00 over on this line

That tells you what you paid, what you were compared against, and the dollar amount you overpaid on that line.

On each invoice

In the Documents list, the Amount column adds up the overpayment across the whole invoice:

  • "$3,200+ overspent": the total you overpaid, rounded down.
  • Good prices: less than $50 of overspend on the whole invoice.

On quotes

Quotes show a comparison without calling it overpaid, so you can see where a quote is high before you accept it. On project budgets you'll also see Over quote by X%, X% under your quote, or Matches your quote.

When a price wasn't checked

Some lines say "We couldn't check this price". See Why a price wasn't checked.
